Built in 1756, this home in the heart of Old Trois-Rivieres is one of the oldest in the city. Located along the King's Road, the private home is not open to the public but it can be viewed from the outside.

Forges du Saint-Maurice National Historic Site
This historic site allows visitors to learn about the beginnings of Canada's iron industry. Originally founded in 1730, the site now offers exhibits, guided tours, a sound and light show and demonstrations of iron production techniques. The site is open mid-May to mid-November and guests are encouraged to take advantage of its picnic areas.

Maison Hertel-de-la-Fresniere
This stone house is built on land owned by the Hertel-de-la-Fresnieres, a famous family in Trois-Rivieres, in the late 17th century. Built in the 1820s, the house is a good example of the neo-classical architectural style that was popular at the time. Located along the King's Road, it is one of the venues for the National Biennial of Contemporary Prints and National Biennial of Contemporary Sculpture.

Open to the public during the summer and year-round by reservation, the centre teaches visitors about the historical importance of the pulp and paper industry in this area. Guests can take a guided tour and participate in a workshop that allows them to make their own paper.

Manoir Boucher-de-Niverville
Possibly the oldest building in Trois-Rivieres, the Manoir Boucher-de-Niverville is one of many stops on the King's Road. The original lodging on this site was built in 1649 and was expanded to its present structure in 1729. It currently houses the Trois-Rivieres Chamber of Commerce. Some exhibits are open to the public at no charge.

Maison Maurice Duplessis
This private building was once the home of Maurice Duplessis, the prime minister of Quebec in the late 1930s and from 1944 to 1959. Located on the King's Road, the building is not open to the public and so can only be seen from the outside.

Pointe-du-Lac Seigneurial Mill
Located on the edges of Trois-Rivieres, the Pointe-du-Lac Seigneurial Mill (Moulin seigneurial de Pointe-du-Lac)is a flour and saw mill that offers exhibits on life during seigneurial times and on the history of the flour mill. Originally built in 1765, the site includes different art exhibits and shows each summer. It is open daily from June until September.

Connected to the Quebec Museum of Folk Culture, The Old Prison of Trois-Rivieres offers a visit-experience providing a glimpse into prison life during the 60s and 70s. The guides are ex-inmates. The visit to the cells and areas of solitary confinement might come as a shock.
